Anyone have success with getting 5.1 to upgrade with Medion/Mitac Mio 168 ?
Will having a REATIL version of NAVIGON 5 installed allow the upgrade to 5.1 ?
Thanks
Archy | After purchasing Navigation Version 5 for my Mitac Mio 168 I bought POI Warner only to find it didn't work.
I then bought Navigation Version 5.1 ro sort the problem - but it will not load!

Bad luck mate.
Seems you have confirmed what KOL was saying. Navigon Navigator 5.1 will just not work on the Medion/Mio 168's. Probably hardware/software compatibility issue.
Looks like i will be shopping around Ebay for TTN5.
Thanks

Hi, I have Medion Navigator 4.2 on the mio tech 168. Are there any updates available. The Medion website is really bad. Also are there maps for the USA and South America.
If I choose to change to TomTom, will that run on my PDA????
Any help would be greatly appriciated |

After doing some experiments with Kol's assistance, it seems a unit that runs 4.2 will be able to run 5.0 (which is not compatible with POIWarner), and a unit that runs 4.75 will be able to run 5.1 (which is compatible with POIWarner).
I'm running 5.1 just fine on my PNA200S (95900). Basically, if you can run 4.75 then you should be able to run 5.1 and POI Warner. |

That's the same version that I am running on my 200S.
I just did exactly as you said, I copied the .cab file onto the memory card and did a hard reset. It installed and runs just fine!
Not sure how else I can help you I'm afraid as it just worked, I didn't have to do any special tricks or anything. |

Thanks for your help
I retried installing it this afternoon and it worked all ok .
I think the problem was that i was trying to restore the saved destinations from Version 4 and that was causing the problem |

I have a Medion Micromaxx MDPPC 150 which came with Navigon Navigator 5 installed. I have been to the Navigon website and downloaded the 5.1 update and transferred it over to the unit as described in the read me pdf that came with the file. It tries to install the update then comes up with the message that it didnt install and to run set-up again.
I have the correct version for my unit and have downloaded and tried several times, all with the same result. Anybody have any suggestions to get this working.
Thanks! :P |

I'm confused, I see no reason why ANY WinCE software wont work on any of these systems once the original program is removed.
Will gaining access to the control panel and then using 'remove programs' solve this?
I have a legal copy of Navigator 6 which I need to put on a PNA350, will it work if I try this, or do I need to wipe the flash disk and start from fresh? |
