To turn the volume up you need to go into settings and I think it's the top one volume.
It goes from 0 to 5.
5 is pretty loud I usually have it on 4 and my car has a lot of road noise. |

If I was going to do it but I'm no expert. I would buy a female ciggi plug and wire that in to the fuse box or straight to the battery with an inline fuse.
Then you could hide that and plug you original i3 cable into it.
That would work but their maybe a better way. |

any ideas regarding wiring it up without the ciggy plug | I haven't done this with my i3 as I want to be able to remove it easily but with other devices I have wired a second ciggy lighter to the back of the cars own one (behind the dash) and wird into that, that way it is still key operated (ie if your ciggy lighter turns off when you turn your car off so will the i3 ).
Hope this helps. |

Yes I have also done just this weekend and it works a treat4 8)
I can take it out at night, I have been advised to do it in this manner and not too cut the plug off the street pilot as this would fry my i3.
