Hi
I'm using POI Warner for MN 5.1 as I thought it would be more up to date than using the POIs embedded within MN5. Whilst it's great for speed camera locations (via Pocket GPS of course!), I'm having problems with various other POI databases downloaded via the POI Handler website (recommended by POI Warner as you can sync using your handheld).
Typical examples are the POIs for petrol stations. Some of the locations of petrol stations are miles out (literally!). At first I thought it was the odd one, but now I'm so cheesed off with it I've turned most of my POI's off and am back running with those supplied with MN5.
Is there anyway to update the POI's embedded within MN5? I tend to find these much more accurate, but a little out of date (it still shows a local Texaco petrol station that was demolished an turned into flats seven years ago!!)
Also can anyone recommend any other sites other than POI Handler for POI's such as petrol stations, supermarkets and car dealerships??
Cheers

Hi,
Have you tried POIEdit?
I have POI Warner and have used POIEdit to collect some poi files.
It also gives the capability of converting files in other formats (ov2, ovr, kml) to the asc format required for Warner.
Not sure how up-to-date the available data is, but there seems to be something for everyone!
It's a freebie, so give it a whirl. There are details here www.poiedit.com
Good luck. |

I have also tried to get into the resident poi.
This seems to have an unusual file name extension.
If any one can offer any help Im'e all ears |
