If you could post a pic Omar that would be great. Be sure to let me know where you post it. I'm not entirely sure how you've done it from your description above so pictures would be a great help.
I too have just got the Brodit cradle and mount for my 5450. The Proclip was £15.99 while the active cradle was £34.99. Mine too came direct from Nemesis as Handnav were out of stock but it came through next day no problems. What PDA is your cradle for? |

I am in the process of doing the same thing in my laguna..
i have used 2 crimps and taken wires to the pos/neg of the pda connector.. but for some reason it didnt work..i found that the connector needs to plugged into the cigar lighter to work.. so today i bought a cigar socket wich i will plug my pda connector into and wire it up that way..
also ordered my proclip and brodit mound (with connectors) from nemesis.. it will take 14 days to arrive..
im a bit confused because handnav sell brodit mounts for £35 whereas i have bought bought one of the new style ones for £16 ?? i hope iv ordered the right thing.. |

Thanks David. Once again you've been very helpful in your many replies to my posts. Much appreciated.
Yes, the lighter is illuminated. Does it matter which one of the two, apart from the brown neg wire, I use as the pos? I would have thought they'd be the same 12v supply with the brown wire just acting as neg for both of them? What do you think? |

Is the socket illuminated? If so, the third wire will be to the bulb. On most European cars (I know you've got a Golf mark 4), brown is earth.
Personally I'd use crimp connectors to split the wiring - so that you can completely remove your adaptation, but that's a personal thing!
