hi guys.....like a fool I've just paid £9 to download the low bridge data from bridgex before looking on here properly.........anyway thats life I guess......should have realised someone would have got it all worked out!!
My question is how do I get an audible warning for them.....when I downloaded the speed camera files together with the voice files it replaced all my beeps and bongs with relavent voice files.......is there anyway I can have a "bridge warning" and also keep my spped camera warnings. I am using the "polite 3" message at the moment as it says **** pocket world gps dot com........this is the only way I can think of to distinguish between bridges and cameras......
cheers

You can find out about Extended POI Warnings at www.tomtomsatnav.info
It can be increased to about 30 warnings I believe. _________________ Richard

You can create a real voice warning but it is a bit of a process. You need to create a custom data.chk with POIExtend http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/poiw.html May look and sound daunting, but it isnt rocket science.
Rays site has clear instructions. http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/index.html
1. Create your warning audio file with a TTS engine. http://public.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php
2. Convert the file to .OGG format used by Tomtom. (SoundForge audio editor or other)
3. Add the .OGG to the data.chk within POIExtend http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/poiw.html
May as well add the 23 real voice warnings for the speed cams also. http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html
As always make a complete backup beforehand. |
