Woops! Perhaps someone at Argos confused the Garmin with the TomTom? Is this just Argos online or in-store? |

I think you will find that they were advertised at this price in their store in Outer Mongolia for about 5 minutes during the last 6 months... Rip Off Britain at it's best. :x _________________ Gone fishing! |

When I was deciding on the best place to purchase mine I went to PCWorld and it was indeed £169.99 but they said I needed to purchase the memory card as an extra? Halford online still have it at £169.99, that's where I got mine from. |

What bit don't you get? Seems self explanatory to me
When I went to PCWorld I was told the SPi3 would cost £169.99 the card contained within it was NOT included in the price and I would have to buy it seperately.
Whether it was a PCWorld Donkey getting it wrong or whether that was infact the case I don't know. |

Was going to pull PCW staff to bits but just had a look on the i3 box and it states: package contains:-Streetpilot i3 preprogrammed with City Navigator Europe NT (UK/Irl only), vehicle suction cup mount, 12-24volt adapter cable, dashboard disk, usb interface cable, usb drivers cd, quick ref quide. Then it lists the optional accessories:- preloaded micro sd cards for additional European regions, GA 27c remote gps antenna,a/c adapter, dash mount kit, carry case, mapsource software. So reading that there is no mention of the micro sd card in the unit but that it comes with preprogrammed software. Strangely is that Argos now put the price back up to £199 online but in the store I visited today there was a poster advertising it at £179.99. |

Sounds like your typical highly trained and well informed staff member at PC World talking out his posterior. _________________ Gone fishing! |

I got mine from Comet, V.8, cost £170. Free delivery, can't complain.
/ RANT MODE ON
I won't buy anything from PCW on principle unless I'm really desperate!
They just pi$$ me off. I bought a new PC a few years ago and had nothing but trouble - I had to threaten them with Trading Standards before I got a refund. Then I payed out £250 for a printer and asked if they would throw in a USB cable...which they wouldn't! Sometimes I go into PCW just to have a laugh at the prices...a 1.8m Ethernet cable for £15....!!!!! Some mugs don't know any better and actually buy these things (either that or they shop for business and don't care about the price). And the staff don't know their AGP from their elbow!

Same here - I use a place called CCL Computers in Bradford - great prices, great service and you can collect or have delivered. |

I feel the same about PCW.
Freecom USB DVB-T stick: PCW Price £60. Local supplier (CCL) £42; what a bunch of comedians! |
