Please forgive me if this has been asked before but this is all rather new to me. I still cannot figure out how to create a complete trip on the PC and get it over to my Ipaq 3600 using Copilot Live ver 4.I know to save the trip as a .trp file but that is as far as i can understand. Any help would be appreciated. |

Well as I experimented with Copilot 4 more this morning I discovered how to do this.
The documentation for this software is rather poor in my opinion and it is not at all clear or even mentioned as to how to do this. But perhaps this will help someone else. After creating a trip on the PC and saving it to the default folder of C:\Programfiles\Copilot4\Save you just need to copy it to the mobile device to the wherever your copilot program is stored (i.e. storage card) under the Storage Card\Copilot Live\Save directory. Then with Copilot started on the Pocket PC use open trips to get it working. Rather easy once you know how.

Ah, you beat me to it. You can or should be able to do this with the data download wizard, transferring directly to the Pocket PC but there is a known problem with this, and it's safer to save it to your C: drive and then copy it to your Pocket PC manually. TravRoute are working on a fix for this. |

One addition: You will need to convert your waypoints back to waypoints as they transfer as stops.

Collin,
Good to know that thanks. One of the trips I saved in that fashion was completely confused when I invoked the trip from a entirely new starting point ( just the end points were the same ). That is, it was unable to fix my current location and more or less hung up. I will have to experiment more with that to see what it is about.
By the way, this is one of few forums I could find on Copilot and I congratulate all of you for hosting it. Copilot is an excellent navigation system and worth the occasional glitches.
