here's a topic that might intrest someone...you can change the voice files on a tom tom ....can it be done with an i3?......like a sexy voice saying ''enter roundabout''.... |

Not sure if this will help...
If you switch on i3 with holding "<-" button...it will take u through some tests...including, signal, screen and voice..i think there it does show all voice files and u can play/test them one by one..
Maybe u can just update the file whichever u like in TransFlash... |

It is very very unlikely Garmin would release novelty voice files (they are a serious company after all). The voice files are an integral part of the unit's firmware, and you wouldn't be able to meddle with them without risking breaking the unit.
Tom Toms are basically Linux devices, and a lot of the operating system is held on the SD Card. This is how it's possible to add new voices; but it's also the reason why it is so easy for users to break their Tom Tom. |
