TT 5 (USA) and Western Europe maps

I only got the MOWE and put the GB on first. Activated that and then all the other maps went on without any further activation.

Did the GB Plus map come on a SD card?

If yes I would say that you would need either the French or MOWE and that they would need activation.

If you got the GB Plus as part of the MOWE then any of the other maps will install without any extra activation.

Well, I finally got an answer from TT today.

I need to Purchase the new Maps Of Western Europe being released on Sept 9 2005. Price is $162.00 US plus shipping.

Not a bad price

I had not spent $192.99 Sept 17 2004 for the previous version of Maps Of Western Europe .

Having to look forward to spending that kind of money every year for updated maps has made me decide to purchase a navigation program from a more reputeable company !

Mike_NYC, if you've already got a version of MOWE then I would have thought that you'd be eligable for the upgrade which in Europe costs Eur 59.

Thanks for the link chaddow, however it says that the update is "out of stock"

I have emailed TT about the free update, but no answer yet.

Try changing the language from "USA English" to "UK English". Under UK English the update is available, but when I switched to USA English it is, as you say, out of stock.

I finally received a reply from the 'helpful' folks at TT regarding my MOWE problems with TT5:

"The only upgrades we release in the US are for the US maps. Once the map update has been released, in most cases the US maps are for free of there is a discount associated with it. We do not offer map upgrades for the Maps of Western Europe within the US. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

So it seems I cannot use MOWE with a TT5 upgrade.

You cannot use them with TTN 5.1 but you can use them with TTN 5.0
