Can someone please help...
I'm not new to GPS, but i'll be damned if I can sort this out.
I have TTN5 and want to know how you search for a specific POI. For example, I want to find Trentham Park Golf Course - a pre-installed POI under Golf Courses (where else!). I click on Browse Map, then click on the Search (magnifying glass), then Point Of Interest on the Find... screen. I then select Golf Course, but all that is then displayed is "No POI Found". :x
The only way I can find it is to move the map to that area and find the POI that way (I have Golf Courses selected and it does show on the map).
Am I doing something wrong? Please can someone help
PS I've also posted this in the Beginners Lounge because I didn't know where to post, and only found this forum later. |

This problem of "No POI found" seems to occur only with the illegal versions of TTN5. If you have the legal version then many apologies and I stand corrected. If not then you know what to do! |

I have just tried searching for golf courses, from the Browse Map > Click Magnifying Glass > Select POI > Select Golf Course.
The result is that it will list all golf courses from the closest and moving further away, and displays 100 results. (Trentham is too far away to display).
From what I can see (I may be wrong), you cannot search for a particular named golf course in this way.
I do not know why yours does not display any POI results.
Sorry I can't help further.

You can - you just keep typing in the name of the course until it appears. It definatly works on mine. It won't necessarily be on the list immediatly but keep typing and it will appear. |

You posted this thread twice didn't you, you cheeky monkey. I've just spent ages trying to work out why my previous reply wasn't appearing! |
