Got it to work but guess that it is about 10 metres out.
Is this normal? Using a PC Map travelling along a road by the sea shows up that I am in the sea! |

It is more than likely that it is the map software that is at fault.

Trix, firstly check you're using WGS84 as the datum, and secondly if you are using a scanned map, then you will need to calibrate it with more points. If you're using a commercial map product like Memory-Map, then you're probably using the wrong map datum. |

Ordnance Survey GB with British Grid isn't used much, most receivers tend to prefer WGS84, so I would try setting the Fortuna to this as this might make a difference. Certainly all the Garmin's and Magellan's I set to WGS84 and these work well.
I believe there were issues with not being able to change the Fortuna's Datum, until the firmware upgrade, so you might have to download and flash it to do that. If you do, the firmware update is on our downloads page. |

Dave
Thanks for this.
My Receiver supports WGS84, and is spot on.
The firmare number on it is 1.24
Should I still try to upgrade it?
My unit is NOT Bluetooth
