Had my first experience with TT5 this morning. Asked it to navigate from Cranhill Road, Street, Somerset to Oxford Road, Kidlington. It took me to the end of the road and instead of turning right, left and left again (which TT3 did) it took me straight on, through a dead end (breeze-block wall) and left.
The wall was built approximately 40 years ago!
What gives??

I tried getting to Kettering Golf course and it routed me over a footbridge across a stream, wasn't best pleased

TT3 managed to route me correctly each time. Now it looks as though every time I use TT5 from home it's going to mis-route inside the first 200 metres and take me through a wall that was built in the late 1960s - that's going to impress people!

You guys have had it easy - a brick wall and a footbridge!!!!

Today TT5 directed me to go left onto a dual carriageway. The only problem was that I was on a bridge driving over the dual carriageway - it would have meant certain death!

On a serious note, have they changed the map provider - TT3 was never this bad.

Did you guys choose the "shortest route" option by any chance.

It's actually quite bad and funny at the same time.

Just seen the same thing. Plotted a route from here to home, and it took me out of the office, to the south end of Brooks Lane, then right onto Booths Lane. However this takes me over a narrow hump-backed bridge which has been one-way, the other way, as long as I can remember.

Perhaps TomTom have shares in a bodywork repair business...
