I have just recieved Tom Tom Nav system from Widget Uk,
#but when I put the cd in ,it initially starts to run, then shut my desk top puter down (black screen) followed shortly by my pocket( Packard Bell) computer.
So I am forced to turn off desktop computer manually-ie no buttons-just black screen.
Help anyone, cause I want to use navigator to go motorcaravanning NEXT WEEK if I can. |

What Operating System is your desktop computer running? When you insert the CD, do you see the TomTom splash screen at all? _________________ Darren Griffin |

It shouldn't do, I run ZAPro here without any problems. |

It's good to hear you've got it sorted. Sometimes there's just no way of getting around a problem unless you take a computer in to get it looked at or fixed. The problem did sound rather dodgy to me, and it's not something I've ever seen happen. I've seen it where a CD can't be read properly and the machine will lock for the duration it's trying to read the CD but never go to black screen.
Hopefully you're all sorted and you can get on with installing TTN and using it. |

I have finally got to use the tom tom nav. and its brill.
However ,on motorways and long country roads,I get a blue overlay on the map- found out from this forum that I had set Safety speed too Low.
Havent used it since,so we will see. |
