Oops, thanks Tim, it was the "Avoid Ferries" option ticked. I had forgotten it was even there. Now it does what I expected.

Thanks for the suggestion but the Navman software ignores the \n control. In fact it just prints it as part of the name string eg. "ASCOT\N0132 etc".
