I have just tried to update my Garmin speed cameras via Chrome and got a popup to state that it no longer supports the Garmin Communicator plugin. It then opened a shortcut to IE.
Does anyone know if this is a temporary glitch, pending an update, or has the facility disappeared permantently? |

What device are you trying to update?
If a PND then try Garmin Express. _________________ DashCam:

@Klemmen. I was trying to update the Cyclops camera alerts on my Nuvi. This has always happened for me via MyGarmin and I don't think it shows up on Garmin Express.
@sussamb, does this mean that Garmin will (eventually) change how it is done, so that it happens directly through the browser rather than using an extra bit of software? |

Camera alerts aren't handled by Express at the moment.
Sorry, I have no idea how Garmin will handle camera alerts in future. At the moment Express deals with map and software updates so it would make sense if Express handled camera updates as well.
In the meantime IE still works with Garmin Communicator. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

It's a right pain. I attempted the same this morning and ended up using Internet Exploder as well - whose future is uncertain.
I wonder what Garmin will do. I've just suggested they incorporate it into Garmin Express.

This could be Garmins way of telling you to use the cameras from here because they are more up to date _________________ DashCam:
