I know this must have been asked before, but as a newbie I've sent 20 minutes and cannot find the answers:
(1)
Will the Pocketworld speed camera database cover the whole of Europe as good as Garmin's Cyclops and will it work on my Garmin 2598.
(2)
Downloading Pocketworld's speed camera database sounds complicated - would I have to download a myriad of separate files (like Gatso_20, Gatso_30, SPECS etc etc ) instead of just pressing a button like in Cyclops.
(3)
How would the Pocketworld's speed camera warning show up on the screen of my Garmin 2598's screen and/ audibly ? Cyclop's alerts I find underwhelming (quiet and small icons bar).
Will Pocketworld's alerts show the same - that is, does it rely on maybe hard coded / hardware in the 2598 ? |

I run the database on my 2508, identical in operation to your 2598
1. Yes
2. No, you can download one zipped file. It though then needs extracting and sent to your nuvi using POI loader.
3. Shows up the same. I find the volume perfectly acceptable though with my nuvi's volume set at 70% |

I agree, except for the 70% bit - I find 45% to be perfect, even over the radio volume which I have fairly loud. _________________ DashCam:
