|
|
I am not sure if the problems I am getting are already known about or not but here goes.
I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.2 installed with Camera Alert 1.4.0. I stayed on iOS 6.1.4 until Camera Alert (and most of my other apps) were iOS7 ready and then I upgraded to 7.0.2 bypassing 7.0.0.
I have made sure that "background app refresh" is not disabled but my main screen for CA stays with most of Europe being displayed and a star of camera arrows pointing out from my current location; It doesn't zoom into my current location. I do not get any audio notifications either. My settings haven't changed and are set to always show the map of type Standard with Rotate map and Zoom automatically both set to on. The GPS active symbol is shown at the top of the screen when I have the CA app running (with nothing else running) so I know that it has a GPS signal or at least the the GPS receiver is active.
All other apps appear to work correctly; most importantly my TomTom 1.15.1 W.Europe works fine.
Any ideas what I need to do to get it working again?
Thanks in advance.[/img] |

Can you make sure location services haven't been disabled for CamerAlert? Settings / Privacy / Location services - then scroll down to find CamerAlert (it's in alphabetical order).
Also, have you taken the app out on the road or just been using couch-mode?

I have checked that location services is turned on for CamerAlert and I tested it with a run in the car of over 100 miles. |

The result was my first post. No zoom in and no sound. |

Can you run our GPS-status app? It's free in the AppStore. Would be good to check that GPS is actually working. One of my iPhone 4's the GPS failed.

GPS-Status app downloaded and works fine. But that should be the case because the TomTom software works fine using the same GPS receiver. |

Have you tried an uninstall of the app and reinstall? |

Do you need to do anything special with regards to the registration to avoid having too many devices registered for the account?
I am assuming that I simply delete the app and then add it back in again? |

Delete the app, redownload it from APpStore. Launch the app, relink your device the same way as before.

Thanks guys. After a reload, it is looking more promising in "couch mode". I will test it on my home and report back. |

I can confirm that a delete and reload has fixed the problem. All works perfectly thank you.
Thanks for your help. |
