On your main screen hit the search button (bottom left on mine). Type in a name of a place in Canada you want to look at and hit "search". It should come up in a list. Choose it and you will get a series of options. Choose "show on map". And up comes the map.
Not exactly intuitive, but as I understand it Sygic automatically switches maps to the country you are in. So when you fly in it should pick up where you are and use the correct map without you having to do anything. _________________ Peter

No sorry I do not appear to have that problem. For me hitting exit appears to stop it and certainly there is no sign of the GPS being used (the little symbol on the notification bar is not there). What makes you think it is still running and causing the battery to run down? _________________ Peter

When I look at my Battery App, to see usage, Sygic is always at the top of the list , regardless of whether or not I have been using itand always double figures %, ie '48%'. I gues I could go into the applications and force it to stop ? |

Try going into settings / applications / manage applications and then hit the "running" tab (far right). Is Sygic shown as running? On mine it isn't. And when I go into the detail for it the "force stop" button is greyed out.
If that is the same with you then you might need to change the battery app you use. I have Battery Monitor Widget Pro and it works well.
How are you actually exiting? I hit my back button (or menu / exit) and then choose exit in the bottom right corner of the screen. Is that same for you? _________________ Peter

I am sure that my battery momitor on my tablet shows usage within the period it has been on and not items taht are being used at that time, i.e. logging. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

Thanks..I've changed Battery Monitor as suggested and the 'problem' seems to have gone away.
Re. map change...Sygic told me just to hit the UK option in 'Navigate to' and Canada will be shown...(but not in mine it doesn't!) I tried your idea of searching...and keyed in Vancouver Airport, which came back not found. I guess I'll have to delete the Canadian map and reinstall..not that it's the end of the world as I have TT and CP8 which I would rather rely on as I know them backwards ! Thanks again. |

Perhaps I am the only one, but it was me with the map change problem...this is the reply from Sygic ;
'according to your e-mail I can see, that you've purchased UK & Ireland only.'
I'm not sure why, but I thought they were free, (the US is 99 Euros...so I'll stick with my TT and CP8 versions.) [/b] |

You have always had to pay for the maps including those for UK & Ireland.
Not sure where you get your prices from. Sygic will sell you the whole of North America for 32 Euros, or Canada and the USA separately for 24 Euros each. Look at their website sygic.com. UK & Ireland cost 20 Euros. _________________ Peter
