|
|
I have an HTC Desire and the Google navigation instructions transmit through the Parrot via Bluetooth, but the CamAlert warning do not. They only sound through the phones rear speaker & it is very quite, even with the phone volume turned up to max.
Can the warning sounds from CamAlert be transmitted via Bluetooth to the Parrot?
Thanks in advance. |

Does the Parrot Minikit actually support A2DP? If not then Google Maps employ a dirty trick to pump the sound through the hands free profile. Certainly not what they want other developers to do... _________________ Lutz

Yes it does: http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/frequently-asked-questions/faq_minikit_smart/

Technically you could, but the Parrot MINIKIT Smart was not designed for music streaming. The purpose of the A2DP on this device is to transfer vocal indications from the navigation app. |
I wonder if you need to adjust a setting somewhere in the main phone settings to say to use the A2DP profile?

In CamerAlert Settings, Advanced Settings, have you got "enforce speakerphone" checked? |

That's the setting I can now hear the warnings through the Parrot, but there is a slight 'chop' of the sound ie the beginning probably due to the Bluetooth connection.
Once CA gets going, this 'chop' seems to shorten which is a good thing.
Thanks chaps for all your help |
