It is possible to use an external BT GPS but only if your iPhone is jail broken, if its got stock Apple OS then a BT GPS isn't an option.
There are a couple of GPS equipped holders that do work with the iPhone such as the holder from TomTom, this acts as a cradle, external speaker, external GPS and power source for the iPhone but at £99 its not cheap, have a look on Amazon and it can be found for under £75 - Mike |

jailbreaking is the easiest way to do this and then use a bt gps the gps stack that needs downloading after jailbreaking is only about 3 pounds you dont even need to conntect to your computer o jailbreak the iphone it can all be done over wifi on the phone unfortunatly with the 3gs its a nessacery evil with the poor gps that is supplied in the 3gs _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. it "should" auto-pair. Try it out. _________________ Lutz
