When you've done that, then select everything on the SD card and copy it, and paste it onto the new card. |

Are you sure the folder structure on the new card is exactly the same as the older card?
Quite often when copying files and folders to the PC they all get put in to a single folder, if this single folder containing everything ends up on the memory card the TomTom won't see the files - Mike |

It *sounds* like you are doing everything right.....
Copying from one SD card to another should be just the same as any other file copying on a PC and the TomTom isn't expecting anything special.
However... I'm slightly intrigued when you say "trying to copy my original 4gb card on to it". Obviously the Go750 didn't come with an SD card originally, so where has this card come from?
The way I'm thinking is:
If the "original" is a card you used to add additional maps to the 750, and it works; why do you want to switch to a different one?
Or... Are you possibly trying to copy a card from a different machine in order to use those maps? In which case it will never work as the maps are locked to a single device.
Going back to first principles, do you still have the original maps, operating system, voices etc on the internal memory of the Go?
I bit more detail might help us to see where things are going wrong.
Finally... it's always possible that you have been sold a dodgy card that isn't class 6 at all. There are LOADS of fake/counterfeit SDHC and micro SD cards around on eBay and the like, and the TomTom is quite touchy sabout what cards you use. Do you have another card you could try temporarily to check your copying process is working. It could even be a small one and just put the operating system files and one voice on it. The TT should still boot up and will use the maps on the internal memory if they are still there.
P.P.S. You do have the new card formatted to FAT32 don't you? (They usually come pre-formatted to FAT32 anyway) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

If I remember correctly, isn't the accepted advice to copy the card to the PC, then from PC to new card, not directly from card in TomTom to card in card reader? I think Mike's advice expects you to be doing it that way. _________________ Dennis
