Dear Friends,
I have just read and signed the online petition:
"Save the UK Coastguard Centres" at
http://www.PetitionOnline.com/ukcghq/
These guys do a vital service, not only for those at sea, but also everyone around our coastline. Please have a look and sign up, if you agree that closing all these centres is nothing short of criminal.

Done.
They justify the cuts by saying "Our seas are becoming busier, with larger ships and increasing numbers of offshore renewable energy platforms making key areas of our seas more congested. There are also increasing numbers of people using our beaches, coastlines and seas for leisure activities.”
Doesn't that look like a justification for more coastguard centres? _________________ Paul |
