Guys,I'm thinking of buying the 1005 but am wondering what the screen refresh rate is whilst navigating, is it nice and smooth or laggy? Depending on how many poi's I had installed on my old 750 it could be quite slow. The 1005 has newer faster hardware so I was hoping the screen refresh would be nice and smooth. I've had a look on YouTube but couldn't find any English speaking user videos showing me that I wanted to see. Any chance one of you kind users would video your unit whilst running a route and upload thus to YouTube for me?
Thanks in anticipation,
Peter |

Screen refresh is fine on my 1005, but, I traded a 550 live for this and the maps seem to be very old compared to that, even though they are the latest available. Loads of no entry, no left/right turns it keeps trying to send me down not to mention missing roads. then there is the total pain installing the speedcam poi's. I wish I had kept my 550 now. |

Further to my post above, thought i would check for a map update, found ver .70 or whatever it is, downloaded and finally installed and my street postcode is still wrong as well as my house number, tomtom think my street numbers start at 44 ffs. On my 550 everything was correct. If i could return this pos and get my 550 back i would. |
