Very annoying and time consuming procedure; I wonder if easier with other Satnav makes?
I left mine to d/load new Europe W map, and went to bed; very annoying in morning to see it's done d/load, but presents screen saying there's not enough space on HDD.
Saw no option inviting me to remove some files via TT Home.
D/load is wasted therefore, as TT Home presumably then just dumps?
Why doesn't TT S/ware realise you want old one overwritten?
I've taken full Win b/up, so then just removed via Windows the map folder, and reconnected to TT Home; then it shows nothing needs updating even with map folder missing, and SD card removed.
I'd taken out my SD card which has Europe N map on, so put that back in, and I've got 2 hours to wait, but the 4gb card will have no space problem.
I'll put map folder for Euro W, back where it was & try again later on that one. _________________ Gel

If it downloads OK, then the Map may be in the Download Folder. _________________ Richard

Will check;annoyingly it has applied the new Euro Nth map to SDD with no problemo.
Guess it's a question of needing some spare capacity on disc (HDD) before it can over write.
Doing as you said it shows in Maps for the HDD a file size of 7934.9mb!
So could be lurking there presuambly.
Breakfast next! _________________ Gel

peasemore, I've split your posts out from the original topic as that was referring to machines with no SD card.
Have a look back on the forum to the time of the previous map release. You should be able to find topics explaining how to get the FULL map to install onto an SD card, rather than just a single zone. |

Andy thanks;
Poor protocol by TT that it just over writes map there, and not have manners to ask first!! _________________ Gel
