I own a Toshiba e805 (non bluetooth) and would like to purchase a GPS and software. Most uses will be while traveling in car but possibly adding aviation software (Navair) for private plane in future. I am looking for road maps of USA and Canada. Have been looking at the Deluo Routis software. Have no idea what type of receiver or memory size required.
Any suggestions for this novice would be greatly appreciated.

The e805 may not have BlueTooth but it has two expansion slots. So you could for example put your maps onto the CF card, and put a BT card into the SD slot...

Please look at our comparison database for NA street routing software. The most important contenders are listed, and even though I still need to add TeleType, Navman and PaPaGO I don't think they will make it into your shortlist.

Routis is good for carefree usage, Mapopolis is more for the geeks, PocketMap and CoPilot are over in the "serious" corner.

Or a CF GPS receiver in the CF and maps on the SD.
