They are saved in the file named "MapSettings.cfg" which you will find in the Western Europe map folder, if you need to open this on the PC to edit the contents consider using POIEdit otherwise what problem do you have, is it possible a map/ software update has cleared them all away? - Mike |

It will be the mapsettings file then, assuming you have outlook installed and the .cfg files are associated with outlook. Windows will be hiding the file extension from you as it is a known file type. Change your view settings in My Computer to show extensions for known file types.

Presuming it was a Map Update, you might be able to use the MapSettings.cfg file from the previous version Backup.
The general consensus is that it is better to change your Favourites to a POI as these are not then overwritten when the unit is updated.
Have a look at This Thread. _________________ Richard

Yep, you will!
Don't be tempted to transfer the mapsettings.cfg file between different versions of Navcore and Maps as it has been known to cause problems.
The consensus seems to be to use POIs instead of favourites - they don't get lost with map/navcore upgrades and are easily transferrable.
