I have a TT710 with Western Europe map installed, although it is a couple of years old. I am going on holiday in December to Tenerife and next year to Lanzarote and see that the latest Western & Central Europe map covers the Canaries.
Does anyone have experience of using their TT on Lanzarote, or Tenerife ? I will need a bigger memory card for the 2GB download too, but don't want to go to all that expense if the mapping is not up to scratch. _________________ Tommo...

I have a fairly old Canary Islands map (about 2 years, from memory). It was fine when my son borrowed the device last year. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

My understanding was that the Canary Islands were included in the Western Europe Map files. It's listed on the TT Website.
IIRC it's locations are listed under Spain, if you are looking for Towns, etc. _________________ Richard

Thanks folks. Having read your posts, I have checked and it appears I do have the Canaries map. I didn't realise that there was a separate map included with the Western Europe one. I switched maps and hey-presto !
Thanks for your help. I don't think I'll bother ordering a new one as I can't see there being many developments over there as far as roads are concerned over the last few years. _________________ Tommo...

Hi 999tommo
I arrived back from Tenerife today after enjoying myself immensely for a few days. I have Central and Western Europe v835.2419 installed on my device and it worked very well while I was over there. Out of interest, what did surprise me was how quickly my 720 obtained a fix from a cold start. Within seconds it shown my location exactly. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
