|
|
Hi all,
I've managed to get a file onto my mobile phone in 'Applications' called 'speed cam' but when you click on it nothing happens!
Can anyone put me right or give my a 'complete idiots guide' on how to install these babies I've tried renaming the files to speedcam.txt ( thats if I've done the right one!? I've downloaded the link (speedcam_v4_2_0.SIS) from symbian but now I'm stuck on where to put what!?
I can see the speed cam file on my mobile, but can't find it on the 'mass memory' on windows control panel
Any chance of someone putting me right?
Many thanks in advance
Gary
Plus where do you put the voice files? |

A .SIS file is a Symbian installation file. You can connect the phone to a PC and initiate the installation using Nokia PC Suite from the PC, or as you have already copied the file to the phone just use File Manager on the phone to open it and trigger the installation. _________________ Kam |

Have you looked at the developers web-site?
http://mcbiskits1.googlepages.com/
There should be an installation guide in the download. _________________ Darren Griffin |

In the speedcam file I have:
pocketgps_uk_masters_and_pmobile.bmp
pocket gps_uk_sc.org (which I believe is a voice file)
scLang.txt
speedcam.txt (which was pocketgps_uk_masters_and_pmobile.txt)
Sorry to be such a noob at what must be so simple to you!

From the SpeedCamGuide.pdf that was in the download wrote: | Obtain a suitable speed camera data file, e.g. pocketgps_uk_sc.csv, rename it to
speedcam.txt, then copy it to the SpeedCam folder on the memory card.
The alert sounds can be changed by placing sound files in the SpeedCam folder and
giving them the names:
• fixed.wav, the sound alert for fixed cameras
• mobile.wav, the sound alert for mobile cameras
