May well be wrong here but wanted to say I am disappointed with memory map in that I can't get it to run on my navigo sat nav which runs winCE v5.
Now I realise that the company state that this platform is not supported, but the fact is that loads of people are successfully running it on the same machine using the same os.
So although its not officially supported all I wanted to do was get the helpdesk to provide me with some information on the license for the demo so I could test it out. They wouldn't do that, which surely drives people to hunt out illegal copies.
I loaded the software onto the device using activesync - no problems - but it doesn't handle the license aspect.
I'm happy to be told I'm wrong but disappointed at present.

Hi Steve,
Which software did you try to load? I think you need the CE version intended for the Road Angel, not the normal v5 which is only for Windows Mobile devices. But MM support won't help you because they want to sell you a complete Road Angel.
However the situation has been complicated because MM have recently changed their licensing system (with v5.2.7) and their support forum has been defunct for the last month.
I rang the technical support line before buying an ipaq 314 and they said MM5 would work - I bought the ipaq and it does work but eveytime you go into the inbuilt nav program it wipes out the licence and you have to reconnect it to the computer to reactivate the licence. Not very helpful if you have to drive to the walk start place only to find you can't use MM5 when you get there.
Speaking to support now they say it is not 'supported' so tough. Hmmm.

Hi Adam,
MM v5.2.7 also has a "Manual" method of license activation. So you should be able to save the PDA's key in a file, using a text editor such as PocketNotepad, and paste it into MM when required.
