Destinator has more POIs. That's about the only advantage. Wait, it can route across map boundaries as well. _________________ Lutz

BUT, it has a few major bugs in the European version which Powerloc have been very slow to resolve.
There is never a right answer to such a question, best advice is consider the features that are important you, read the reviews (Destinator is not the only TomTom competitor, look at CoPilot Live!) and then browse the forums.
Were it me? TomTom closely followed by CoPilot Live! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
I been running D3 and Navigator 2 for quite a while now and personally I do prefer Navigator over D3 for the following reasons:
1. Navigator offers custom POI's
2. You can use it as a very cheap Speedcam system with Checkpoint
3. I find the 3D maps much easier to view than D3.
4. Generally Navigators Routing is better than D3
5. Full postcode routing with free add-on
6. Nice big icons on touchscreen for options, rather than Destinator's more menu driven system.
The only reason I still use D3 is that the Navtech Maps used are much more upto date than Navigator 2 (as an example my house which has been built now for about 4 years is not on the maps), But I would hope that the Maps in Navigator 3 will address this minor niggle.

The more I read the treads here and of those in the Tom Tom Forum the more I lean toward Tom Tom3 as navigationally aid ditching Destinator3. Going to give it a few weeks and see what the Tom Tom3 write up said. |
