Hiya all sorry my first post has to be a beg for help!
I purchased a tomtom one v3 about 2 weeks ago and cant get it to sync with my pc i connect it up and the tomtom asks if i want to connect i click "yes" then it proceeds to show a loading screen however the pc does nothing at all.
Ive tried different Usb ports to no success
Ive tried reinstalling windows xp and still no success
Ive tried enabling the device in device manager but it dosnt show on pc.
Any help please |

on your PC you should see a new drive letter when the PND is connected. Can you check that? _________________ Lutz

When you reboot the computer with the unit connected, does that cause the unit to be recognized? |

where do i get a different usb cable from??
No it dosnt show in my computer on start up |

Any computer shop will have them, or Maplins etc.
PC World will overcharge you.
It is the same cable that many small digital cameras use, so you may have one of those already?
It looks like you've tried everything relevant on THIS TOMTOM PAGE but worth a look.
I always used to suggest trying every combination of PC on or off and TomTom on or off when you plug in the USB cable, as one of my old units only responded when you did things in the opposite order to what you were supposed to do!
If you can try another PC that would be a grat help in deciding what's to blame. |
