I am starting to run out of space on my unit and have a 8Gb transcend SDHC card. I have transferred all contents of my TT hard drive to computer using windows explorer, then copied contents back to SD card using same method.
When I connect to home with card inserted I cannot switch device to see contents of SD card. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something simple

For a start you need to format the SDHC memory card in a card reader that is designed to work with SDHC cards whilst connected to the PC, then use the card reader to install the additional files you need to the card.
There is very little point putting all the data from the Flash Memory onto the card as well, the two storage media can co-exist and work together quite happily.
What exactly are you trying to acheive using the 8GB card on the 720? - adding maps, music video's or something else?, once we know more specific advice can be offered - Mike |

Many thanks for reply Mike.
I recently updated my maps to v715 1703 and it has taken up quite a large chunk of my device, leaving little room for updates ,mp3 etc. I am sure I read on the forum how to put updated map onto sd card but cannot find it.

create a folder called "mp3" (all lower case without the "") put this in the root of the correctly formatted SDHC card, now throw all your music into that folder - when the device boots up it will find the data and the tracks will be made available - Mike |

If you put the new map folder into the root of the SD card via the PC reader it will also be picked up, it appears the x20 curently cannot use an 8GB SDHC card correctly, it will read it fine but you cannot use the x20 as a card reader to write data to the memory card.
Put some music on the card and make sure the device can use that before you go any further copying files - Mike |
