Could we have some words of wisdom from you re those of us who have purchased in the last few months and as yet have not taken the update option. Should we and if 'yes' should we do it now or later? |
I note the concerns expressed elsewhere, including the above, about future support for our devices. The Jury is still out as to whether I should take the update option If I and others e.g above, do so will we get what we pay for? In normal circumstances, it seems like an offer not to be missed, compared to other systems.
Words of wisdom awaited _________________ Gee-Pee

Stu said this on another thread.
Quote: | I can assure those of you worried about support issues that the Support lines and Customer Technical Help will be running for the warrenty period on our devices which is 2 years.
Anyone who has signed up for upgrade services (2 yrs Maps and Guides) and is worried need not be as these will be valid and new maps and guides will come out to you as expected. You can still sign up for the subscription programme until the end of 2008.

Nope I can't either
I thought Stu meant we could still take advantage of this until the end of the year.
I hope he's OK, he hasn't posted the expected announcement yet.
Maybe he could apply for a job with Navigon if they're merging PND production as per another thread. _________________ Mike

Tried again with Content Manager running and still no sign of the option, so I telephone VM's technical support. The guy went away and came back to say the offer has been withdrawn.
Looks like potential customers for it are stu***d _________________ Gee-Pee
