Hi Guys

I have one of these little gems of Toshiba, the G900 with a GSat BT receiver.

Problem I have is that I have tried Tom Tom and this doesn't seem to scale to its 800x480 screen. Tom Tom when it starts in landscape, takes up the top third of the screen and all the menus are blury and impossible to use. If I put it into landscape, it appears to work but I can see two and a half copies of Tom Tom! Not very pleasant and certainly doesn't use all the screen to the best of its abilities.

I am as you can understand, very hesitant to buy any more software until I can confim it will work.

I guess my question is: Does anyone know any Windows Mobile Sat Nav software that will a; work on a Tosh G900 and b; use all the 800x480 res?

Many thanks in advance for helping this newbie! Very Happy

that im afriad is the price of going landscape
if it scaled to size then the infomation would be unreadable try copilot 7 or direction navigator 7 as they have smaller infomation sections

Thats my point.... 60 or 70 quid just to find it doesn't work on my device? Then buy a diferent piece of software .... to find it doesn't work on my device .... rinse, repeat ....

TomTom doesn't work in landscape ... i see the screen 2 and half times! Laughing

Imagine "A" is the screen TomTom uses and B is the size of my screen

So:

x---------------------B---------------------x Total size of my screen
x-------A--------xx-------A--------xx----A i.e. TomTom 2.5 times on one screen!

I am not too sure you will get any nav software to work at the screen resolution this device uses, QVGA and VGA are both fine for most applications, but I am not even sure what code could apply to this screen, I think lbendlin has a similar device so perhaps he can shed some light on it - Mike

Again, both these are running the standard resolutions. Mines far from standard and higher at 800x480 WVGA.

Sadly, i've tried uninstalling TT and re-installing Crying or Very sad

Please, lbendlin, gimme some good news! :-) Smile
