|
|
As per the title really, has anyone any objections to splitting up the huge thread running to (currently 21 pages), it contains a wealth of different information on the various aspects of the device which I feel would be better split to provide an index to locate specific information topics:
1/announcement and availability
2/ battery related posts
3/ Upgrade to 1.03
4/ PC planning software
5/ Menu selections
6/ User reviews
7/
Plus any suggestions for the above?
This will help the users of the product and newcomers locate valuable information that to be honest is currently lost, now we have a dedicated forum section for the SatMap I feel this is a necessary step, anyone disagree and if so why, no links will be broken.
I cannot do this at the moment as splitting a 21 page thread using a mobile phone isn't viable (or safe to be honest), but when I get back to the PC it could be a job for the weekend, unless the weather improves and I might head for the hills. - Mike |

seems the sensible thing to do! due to the size of the task though i'd suggest locking the thread before you start so no extra posts appear before you finish!

7/ Maps
There seems to be quite a few comments on maps and as the new ones appear this will expand. _________________ TomTom Go 60

Breaking the original thread down into separate topics is useful, but we now seem to have three separate threads all entitled identically as "Satmap Active 10", differing only in the extent of capital letters. I should have thought it simpler to keep these together? |

I did notice that but the 21 page thread was the first entitled that way, the new threads I have created as part of splitting this up are:
Battery Related Information
PC Planning Software (Sat-sync)
v1,03 Software Update
I did intend splitting more out last night but was disturbed by some idiot spamming, but the job will be complete later today - Mike |
