Hi. Have got a One mk2 (what used to be called a v3, I think - the 2nd version of the One with Western Europe maps - but all the chat about the new "Version 3" has confused me!) which has updated to firmware v7.120 via TT Home. I have the new "Help me" menu option, but when I go into it and try to select any of the guides it just says "No information is available". Is there another component I have to download to make the guides functional? Is that function not compatible with my hardware? Is it dependent on the map version that I have installed? Or what?! |

Yes, there are extra files you need, but no, TomTom haven't seen fit to make them available (yet).
They seem to be a whole bunch of (encrypted?) HTML files and both gif and jpg images.
I suppose they might include them with a new map version, but they haven't released any new maps for the One since the x20 range came out which does have these help files.
I'd complain to TT and see what they say... |

To use the new features does require the v675 map or newer (as releases are made available) - earlier maps do not offer the map share capability, as for the Help me related information I am not too sure as I thought this was part of the application to be honest, but again it works with v675 maps or newer, perhaps this problem is device specific though the One XL was not happy with Help Me when I first tried it - Mike |
