I have just had my TomTom 720 replaced and now I can't access the TT+ services through Home. When I try to connect to TT+ I get a message which says:
"This content is protected for exclusive use on another device. To use it on a new device go to www.tomtom.com and visit the TomTom PLUS section"
Fat lot of use that is - there is place in that section to remedy the situation.
I've changed my device code - at least that is correct.
Also, you can't even select a 520 or 720 as a device when reporting an error - I guess they didn't expect any - mmmm.
Does anyone know how to fix this ridiculous security problem - I can't be alone - can I? _________________ Cheers, John

I have the same problem with TomTom Traffic.
Had the device code changed by TT Support by sending them a copy of my receipt via the TT support page, but it still does not work.
I have tried resetting from my account page, but still no good.
The problem has been bounced back to TomTom. |

Hi all,
I had the same problem today and TomTom were great with me. Turns out that you have to reset the unit and then reenter your plus password etc. Works fine now. |

I could be wrong here, but I think every TomTom you use home with needs a different e-mail address to register, thats how they stop somebody from sudscribing to TomTom services, and all your mates downloading it too. When you registered you gave an e-mail address, to download to your TomTom, now you have a different TomTom, you need to register again, with a Different address. If I'm wrong, just ignore me,my wife does, _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

that's correct, lbendlin mentioned it in another thread (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=58515&highlight= )
- it has been mentioned to TomTom who chose to ignore it... |
