I am using version 4.4.3 of memeory map.
i am trying to create a track on my pc to download to my GPS. The track is too long to do in one go. How do i create one part of a track and then join to a subsequent one and so on .
i cannot find any help in the software to do this.
thanks
i have found finally when you have two parts of track, you can right click on one of the parts, select operations and then join tracks and this will join them.
i have found that by the time you do this for the 4th or 5th time it will not join the tracks any longer. this is very annoying as it takes about 20 minutes route planning before the software finally decides not to play ball.

Do you mean the track is too long to physically draw on the screen? If so, did you know you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to manipulate the map whilst drawing an overlay object? _________________ Garmin Etrex H

Hi,
Do you actually want to create a route or a track? You can't join routes, but you can add waypoints by right-clicking on the route (or an end waypoint). Similarly, you can convert a route to a track and vice versa by right-click : Operations.
If you find that two tracks won't join, then try opening the (track) Properties window and increase the value of the "Min update distance" to a value larger than the distance between the ends of the tracks. Note that this value also determines the accuracy of the conversion in the "Track to Route" function.
