Hi
I have a Orange SVP M700 and have installed TomTom v 6.030. I cannot get the phone to pick up any satellites. I an standing outside and have selected "built in GPS receiver" in the setup but still no connection. Does it have to be switched on in some way.

No, it should just connect.
Leave it for 10 minutes where it can see the South and then look. If it's still not doing its stuff then you could either a) contact TT support (painful) or b) download and install another GPS program like http://www.visualgps.net/BeeLineGPS/ (free to try) and see if that hooks up.
Both TT6.03 and Beeline work OK for me. _________________ Brian Abbott

I HAVE AN M700 AND HAVE MANAGED TO GET TOMTOM 6 RUNNING ON IT TODAY. IT DOES TAKE A WHILE TO RECOGNISE THE INTERNAL GPS THOUGH. |

I also have an M700 and have Navigator 6 working and have added maps, poi's, speed camera's etc..
Iam glad to say that it is all working fine.
Have you made sure that you have selected the GPS program to use 'com port 9' in your M700's settings?
Check to see, it may solve your problem. |
