Hi All, need a Bluetooth guru. On my Chinese igo8 sat nav the Bluetooth function is there and working to a degree. I use a Nokia 710 smart phone with the sat nav and can receive calls through the sat nav auto answered fine and can hear the caller, however they cant hear me till I press loudspeaker on the phone. I used to have a nokia [before smart phones ] with auto answer function and am sure it worked fine both ways for hearing and caller hearing me. This smart phone doesn't have an auto answer function as did the older one but the igo8 does. any ideas. I have checked the BT folder and theres nothing for microphone setting etc.
Next is , can I change the horrible ring tone on the igo8? Not a clue here.
Theres a setting in BT folder for amount of rings but cant get it to stop ringing lower than 5 horrible times, but would like it to ring only twice before auto answering.
Really need this auto answer to work both ways and be completely hands free with the traffic laws as its imperative for use with my taxi job.
gratefully, Graeme |

Query. The igo8 you refer to, is it a stand alone sat nav or one of the din/ double din Chinese units from Ebay that replace the car radio If its the former, sorry cannot help, if the latter, the igo8 is actually a program in the unit which has its own operating system based on Android, WinCe or some other. which is it ?
Are you sure there is a microphone in the unit and may I suggest looking in the system settings to switch an existing mic on. _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

Sorry I haven't used Win ce for years so I can't help you. I suggest you search the web for a tutorial on Win ce, I suspect you may have muted or reduced the gain on the mic. The setting for this should be in the Win ce setup _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav
