Hey all,

I wonder if anybody could help. I currently use Tomtom navigator 5 on my Orange SPV. I am replacing it as the SPV is a liability rather than any disatisfaction with tomtom BUT on investigating I like the look of the nuvi 310.

On reading various reviews I'm confused... Does the 310 come with the UK preloaded and the rest of Europe on dvd or is that just the deluxe version? I need the european mapping.

I'd appreciate any help before deciding between the tt one europe or the equivalent nuvi (which would be which...310/ 310d/ 360???).

I purchased a 310D (Deluxe) which came with UK and Ireland pre-loaded and the full european mapping NTV9 DVD (Full Unlock coverage included)as well as the GTM12 FM Traffic Reciever.

You might want to have a read through the Nuvi Forums on this site here:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=96
as there have been some issues with the Traffic Info and the GTM12 Traffic reciever but touch wood mine appears to be workking fine now.

However all that said it's a good little package for the money and I am well pleased so far.............

thanks satnavman.

I know that the deluxe version has the GTM12 receiver and trafficmaster membership. I had read in various places this had been an issue but that it appeared to be ironing itself out (have they not started bundling a different receiver?).

Is the european mapping only provided in the deluxe version or does it come with the standard version as well? I mostly only drive around edinburgh or the central belt of Scotland and don't believe trafficmaster is much cop up here (can anybody advise?).

Appears to be a cracking price for the 310 on amazon at the moment and don't really need the traffic info but europe essential. Is the 310d or the 360 the only option or would the 310 suffice?

If you are not too bothered about the traffic info then you could just get the Basic 310 and purchase the City Navigator NTV9 DVD seperately but not that cheap, but personally I think the 310D Deluxe package is still a good deal.

http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/garmin-nuvi.html

You could go for the 350 with europe fully pre installed, but be aware of fully pre installed mapping of europe. If you buy the 310D package and want to upgrade at a later date you could just sell the Nuvi as a 310 UK and Ireland installed which is how the units come out of the box, and keep the City Navigator NTV9 europe Mapping disc which will be registered to you as a full Mapsource product which entitles you to reduced cost upgrades when issued and allows you to obtain another Garmin Unlock Key to use the mapping on another compatible Garmin Unit for free.

I know this because I have registered my copy of NTV9 for use on my Nuvi and my Garmin Venture CX mapping handheld.

This makes it a very good deal.

I've got the Nuvi310 Deluxe and I can honestly say that it has been worth every penny I paid for it. Agreed, the traffic thingy can be a little infuriating as I can only get information when I'm about 15 miles away from where I live grrr....but otherwise i's feature rich, the maps are spot on, and it hasn't let me down in the 8 months I've had it. :D

Hi, I'm a new user with a 310D. I suspect the maps are not up to date on it - how do I check whether I have the most up to date versions? And if not, how do I update?

Hi there!

From Map page, go into Menu Then go to Settings (The Spanner!), then Map, then Map Info.

At the top it should say City Navigator NTv9.

Also if you have a 310D it should have come with the City Navigator NTv9 Mapping Disc for Europe.

These are the latest maps!
