Could somebody possibly help me out big time on this one.
This is my first post on here, and sadly I'm having what seems a serious problem with my 510.
I installed tomtom home, backed up the unit, and the problem came.
I now have a picture of the unit on its screen, with a memory card coming form the bottom of the picture to the top right of the screen, then a red cross goes over the card. This just repeats itself over and over.
Has anyone got a solution, or does anyone know why this is happening. I haven't tried to install anything. And it was working great all day before I connected it to my pc. My pc is virus and bug free, so please help me out asap on this, as I'm going out tomorrow, and dont want to have to buy a map the day after getting a GPS.

Cheers everyone.
This screen appears when the machine thinks that there is no card in the slot. I had this problem earlier this week and the SD card that I was using had completely failed. Since the unit you have is new take it back to the suppliers and show them the problem and they should replace the whole unit for you. Since you also backed up the unit you could if you have a spare SD card put the alternative blank SD card into the 510 start up Home, plug the 510 into the USB port and tell home to restore the backup.
