I have a TomTom Go 700 and have just downloaded the latest camera database (not the ov2 files). Having unzipped from the desktop into the same folder as my original downloaded files, I selected to overwrite existing files, but the modified date shown against each file (consolidated by type) appears to still show June 06 rather than Oct as I expected. Is this right? The folder does show a licence file, release file, toc file and a file of 348kb which is a Winzip file, all of which do show todays date. An explaination would be appreciated.

Not quite sure what has happened here! - I have just tried the download with the same file type and everything is as expected, the ov2 files are dated 03/10/2006, the .bmp files have earlier dates but that is simply because they don't change too often.
Please re-download the database and give it another try - Mike

Thanks for the reply. I had selected the TomTom Home data base not the OV2 one. All is now well with all files showing a modified date of 10 October. I will copy the updated OV2 files over to my Go 700 and overwrite the existing ones. Can you confirm that I do not need to copy the bmp. files? Thanks.

You shouldn't need to overwrite the .bmp files these change very little, although if an new camera category is brought out you might find the coresponding image file is missing. To be honest when I update my devices I overwrite the whole lot as it only takes seconds.
If you use the TomTom Home application to install the cameras (which is what the TT Home Speed Camera download is intended for) the whole lot will be replaced in one single click - Mike
