Hi,
I think that I might have a duff battery but I'll just run it past you guys first.
I bought my TT One (old edition) last week. Fine, no problems. On Saturday, I connected up the power and turned it on and a new screen come up, the Red Tom Tom hands and a drum roll. Then another new page with a yellow bar scrolling across the bottom as if it was loading a file. It worked fine after that so I left it.
This morning, it went back to the red hands screen, gave half a drum roll and turned itself off. I had to charge it for about 20 minutes before it would turn itself on. Again, the yellow bar then come up as if the unit was loading something. I then drove for another 2 hours charging the unit with the cigarette adaptor.
This lunchtime, out to the car and tried to turn the unit on whilst not on the cigarette adaptor. Nothing, no screen, no noise, nothing. As if the battery is flat. This is after a two hour charge 3 hours ago. It works fine when the unit is on the adaptor.
Sounds like its either not charging (but green light is on as I always check) OR the battery is not keeping the charge. Either way, the unit is one week old and I think it needs to go back.
Is this common or am I missing something obvious.
PS I have only ever used the unit on charge whilst I have had it so far. Also, it DID start up straight out of the box on the charge it left the factory with!!!

I have changed the unit for another Classic TT One and it is worlds apart from the last one. The last one, even though I only had it one week, I must have hit the reset button 30-40 times. This one, uploading the newer app update, adding voices, cameras and other POI's hasn't needed a reset at all.
I think the last unit must have been a Friday afternoon job.
PS I got another classic rather than the NE as I think the older one feels sturdier and has a faster processor.
