Tom Tom Go 700 - positioning /screen shade

Hi everyone. I would appreciate advice as to the best place to position the 700 to avoid not being able to read the screen in sunlight. Also, has anyone found an effective screen shade to keep the sun light at bay?

Any comments wld be gratefully received.

As for positioning I would put it on my right hand side (if that makes sense) near the quarterlight.
