Hello all.
I am completely ahead of my own time at the moment. Just want to ask a few questions on installation before I even purchase my goodies!
Basically, I am going to buy hp2210 and tomtom2 nav.
I understand that there are updates to be used for tomtom2. Something like version 2.4 etc. Might I ask: do I install tomtom2 version 2 from the pack first then upgrade through the website or do I install 2.4 directly from the website?
I noticed that from the tomtom website, I can download the files. How can I ask the files to be executed in the pocket pc but not my own pc?
Also, do I need antivirus software for me hp2210. I don't think there is antivirus software specially for pocket pc. Am I missing something here?
(I am completely new to gps, pda etc..)
Thanks in advance.

Installing and activating from the CD, then downloading and running the updates from the website is the best option.
You need to install MS ActiveSync, and all PPC programs will come with a PC installer that unpacks them and then transfers them through ActiveSync to the Pocket PC via the USB cable.
You won't need an AV software, there are proof of concept viruses out there on the Pocket PC, but that's all they are, there's nothing in the wild, and transferring documents from your PC will be covered by your PC antivirus software. |

I wish I did, as I'd be a millionaire now. You can always live in hope I guess |
