So does TMC work in the uk with Medion Navigator 5 and is TMC actually supported uk wide ?
I have seen many posts on the net saying that TMC doesnt work, TMC cables purchased from outside the uk wont work here and other posts saying that TMC doesnt work on the Medion PNA..
Very confusing..
I have a Medion PNA with MN5 software which has TMC |

I bought the TMC antenna for my Mio 269+ and it works a treat. It picks up the TMC signal from Classic FM along most of my commute. It has an annoying habit of losing the signal, searching for an alternative, and deleting all of the previously-stored data, but I suspect that this is largely down to the device rather than the TMC service itself.
The TMC service is a Godsend around the M25, which is where I spend most of my time. |

Anyone actually running TMC in the UK?
As far as I can tell medion naviagtor - is based on the Navigon product - however Navigon do not support TMC? Is Medion different? How up to date are the maps? |

Works perfectly on my Mio 269+, as posted above. I've only used the TMC in SE England, so I can't comment on coverage in the rest of the UK. |

It depends on what software you have and whether it has a uk TMC licence.
That is why Navigon 4.2 can receive TMC but five can not (not sure if this is rectified now)
hope this helps......... _________________ Thanks,

I've no idea how this new TM service is going to link into Navigon, even whether or not it is available yet -however, if you are a Navigon MN5 user, I would contact Navigon directly and ask them about the Trafficmaster Traffic data option. It is possible support was included in the December 5.2 upgrade. However, it is equally possible that to use the new TM service, you will need their TMC location data, and that might not be available from Navigon until they next update their maps. |
