I've got my Garmin i3 set to Auto in the night mode setting and I can't belive how acurate it is. 8O
How is it done and will it change with the different times of sun set and sun rise? |

Sun Rise and Sun Set can be calculated if your position in the world is known. As the GPS system knows exactly where you are and what time it is, it can calculate when to switch mode. It will do it as the days lengthen and shorten with the same accuracy. |

Yes there is and it is based on your location. Some Garmin units will show the sunrise/set times in one of the data fields and you can see this changing if you are flying north or south in a plane. :D
If the GPS doesn't have a signal then it changes based on it's last known position. You can also switch the unit into indoors mode and change your position on some units and the sun rise/set times changes then too. _________________ Gone fishing! |
