I am new to sat nav and have just got a tom tom one. I have come across a website called TomTom Extra offering an attractive download for £7.95,but I am wondering if anyone has had any experience of this site.  |

At the risk of sounding horribly wrong, it looks like someone has compiled others' work (POI files, speed camera files, splash screens, celebrity voices, etc.) into a zipfile and is charging £7.95 for a link to the download site. 
Having viewed the site and what's in the download, I don't think I am wrong, though.

Even the 2 x 50 mile Walks look very like the 2 that Oldie has on his site!

They are clearly selling splash screens, voice files, POIs and other data not theirs to sell.
I'm going to see what can be done.

Hi All,
Thanks for the reply to my origignal post. I did go for the download the same day and only received half of what was promised. I e-mailed the 'Support' address twice before getting a reply which stated that they were aware of the problem and were'working round the clock' to solve it.I have heard nothing since. Ever get the feeling youv'e been had?
