I have some serious issues with stray files and folders on my Classic Go, I want to scrub everything off and start again from the CD, obviously saving some voices etc... however it will mean reverting back to ver 4.0 or whatever it was back then, so I need to know can my 'Classic' version use the latest firmware (5.4)? and what is this 'SDK' that you talk about?
It will be a days work for me to negotiate all this lot and I dont want to have to go through aal the hastle if its not going to work... all help appreciated

Yes you can install 5.420 on the Classic. However the SDK that you hear about will only work with 5.202 which will also work on the Classic, as per my Signature.
Just install from your CD. If you're instaling onto a blank SD Card, you will need to Activate the Map, which is probably something you haven't done if you're still using the original maps.
You can then download the 5.420 upgrade, take your CD out of the PC and run the Upgrade Program. _________________ Richard

Ok this all went ahead with no problems but regarding why I have two map folders is unclear. I deleted the Great_britain map with no undesirable effects, however in it was a small file called 'great_britain.mms' which is 57 bytes in size ..what is this, and will something not function without it?
